Info
The YMCA martial arts program provides a welcoming and empowering environment for both women and youth to build confidence, strength, and practical self-defense skills. Rooted in the principles of traditional karate, the program emphasizes discipline, awareness, and functional movement.
Women’s self-defense classes focus on real-world personal safety, situational awareness, and confidence-building techniques, while youth karate instruction develops respect, focus, and physical fitness. Together, these offerings create a supportive space where participants of all ages can grow stronger—physically and mentally—while gaining skills that extend beyond the mat.
